Karuna Eberl
Some say writing inspiration comes from sunny days, cuddly kittens and children
romping through fields of daisies. Those people have somebody else paying the
bills. To make a living as a writer, there is no greater motivator than fear--fear
of rotting in a cubicle, fear of being a bad waitress, fear of the insanity
of the real world, fear of being "normal." Don't strive too hard to
overcome that. It makes the stormy days tolerable and the sunny mornings even
more stunning.
Karuna Eberl is based in Rollinsville, Colorado, but spent much of 2003
in Florida where she co-wrote and produced a documentary series on sunken ships
of the Spanish Main. During her freelance writing and photography career, Karuna
has written two screenplays, a novel and numerous articles for newspapers, magazines
and books. Her features have appeared in Transworld Snowboarding, Rocky Mountain
Sports, Women in the Outdoors and many others. Her photography has earned
awards from Animals magazine, the Utah Harts Council and the Alliance for the
Varied Arts.
